*This is for a costume, not for functional hunting/archery use*

Would a 60'' inch bow be too long for someone who is only 60'' tall, or is that normal for a bow? Should I go with a smaller size, such as a 52'' or 48'' bow instead?

Article on the English longbow…there was also a ‘footbow’ that was fired by holding with your feet while lying on the ground.

Not at all. Remember, when you’re firing it you’re holding the center, and it’s bent, so it’s not like it would drag the ground.
In fact, traditional japanese longbows were often taller than the archers when unstrung, and European longbows were generally close to as tall as the archer.

That should be good, I shoot a 70″ bow and am only 5’9″.

My experience as a Viet Nam bow sniper is that you are too short for the bow.
