They will give you $20-$40 tops. The thing about pawn shops is they are for desperate people who need money and are willing to get seriously ripped off. Since I am also a gamer the example that comes to mind is you buy a new $50 games and trade it in a few months later for $5 maybe $10 and the next day you see your game being sold for $45.

Try craigslist (as it isn’t a gun) or backpage.com. Better luck and you will get a better deal. Even eBay since bows do not classify as firearms.

You can post it on for free. Price will be based on condition of the bow, type(compound/recurve) shooting poundage, accessories, age, manufacturer.

Pawn shops will give you a dime on the dollar for the value so if you ask 100 you might get a 10-20 dollar offer. If the bow is in good condition, see if there is a local archery shop that might let you do a consignment or they might be able to give you information on the bow value to aid in your selling of it.

Your question is very similar to, “How much can I get by selling my car?”. We don’t care who gave what to who… that’s irrelevant. The make and model would probably mean something. If you want a better answer…. ask a better question.

i took a bow to the pawn shop it was 2 years old and was a $450 bow i left all the accessories with it about $150 worth and they gave me &125 for all of it later i saw that bow get sold by the pawn shop on ebay for $375 so if you don’t need the money right now i would sell elsewhere

Check out everything you have to pawn on e-bay. Most all pawn shops look your item up on e-bay and give you 20% of that value maybe 25%. So if your Bow/Arrow and case is selling for $100 bucks on e-bay, you’ll get MAYBE $20 to $25 for your stuff. Stay away from pawn shops and find someone to buy it from you! You’ll get much more for it!

If it’s like new in the box and it sells for $100.00 dollars I would not put more than 20 to 30% no more extra do not count. less if used Remember I can sell I can buy it wholesale like 50 60 % off msrp. is what I tell everyone.

Put it in the newspaper asap. It is hunting season and it should move fast. Whenever you sell something to a retailer you loose a lot. Some idiots look at the retail price. The dealer looks at wholesale, and if used down from there. The dealer also may wait months to get his money back. Business is business. Someone doesn’t rip you off if you take the deal, if it’s a bad deal you ripped yourself off.
