Before you buy check out Oneida, it is a single string compond. Bad az bow, very quiet.

I don’t expect this to matter, but I’ve been bow hunting for years, and have never bought a new bow. I’ve had three, and never paid more than $100. You can find used bows in just about every bow shop. Just as most any decent automobile will get you where you’re going, most any bow made in the last 10-15 years will work, assuming the shooter practices.

I shoot a High Country Brute Force. I’ve had it about 3-4yrs. and love it, flat, fast. I highly recommend High Country bows.

I own a High Country bow that I bought used last year. I love it. The bow shoots very fast and very quiet. Also, it is very balanced. I love mine and would recommend it for you.

    Good luck!

If you are thinking about a crossbow and are thinking Excalibur…then you already have the right idea….As for the PARADOX,and or HIGH COUNTRY…Excalibur no longer makes them…for a reason….and that is that there recurve limbs system is FAR superiour to the compound.
