How much is a High Country bow worth?
I am new to archery and am looking for my first hunting bow. I don't want to spend a large amount of $$$ until I see ho w I take to it. In some local classifieds, there is a High Country Supreme compound bow with a case, arrows, quiver, scope, and more. It just says "make offer", what would be a fair offer to make? Also, is the draw length adjustable on these bows? Thanks.

What to do with an animal after you kill it?
This is specific to coyote hunting, but would like to know about other animals you can hunt too.
So I was interested in hunting. I have never been but was always fasinated with the "hunt". Scouting, stalking and everything else you do to your prey. But what do people do with the animals they hunt? What are peoples options when it comes to this? Is there different options for archery than guns?
I don't know if it makes a difference, but I live in Arizona.

Would a 60” inch bow be too long for someone who is only 60” tall?
*This is for a costume, not for functional hunting/archery use*
Would a 60'' inch bow be too long for someone who is only 60'' tall, or is that normal for a bow? Should I go with a smaller size, such as a 52'' or 48'' bow instead?

Looking for a reasonably priced archery bow for a woman?
I have always liked archery for its recreational purposes, not for hunting. I've used my brother's old hunting bow for target practice because it is relatively easy for me to draw back, but I would like to find a bow that is made for women, but still can pack some punch. Another stipulation is that the bow must me reasonably priced. Now, I don't know much about this kind of equipment, but anything over $350 seems like a lot. (Correct me if I'm wrong, though.)
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!
Not sure what kind I'm looking for. Maybe I should go to a local fish and game store to get started...

what time of day or night do the elk visit there wallows?
I have been a successful archery deer hunter for many years now and decided to go after an elk this year. My tag allows any elk of either ***. I have found rubs scrapes and a nice wallow that provides me with great cover. I would like to limit my time sitting in wait as my hound dog season just opened and I am out most every night running my dogs. For those of you who always jump me about hound hunting, $@#% off! You know nothing about my sport, and until you try it yourself I don't want to hear it. It is the most physically demanding hunting I have ever done! Also I don't hunt deer with dogs. Around here we run coon, bobcat, bear, and cougar. Both for fur values and to protect livestock and crops. Anyways if someone has a time of day that would be best to be in my tree stand waiting on elk to wallow that would really be appreciated.

What’s the best brand of longbow?
What kind of bow should I get?
I'm thinking about getting into archery and bow hunting. I haven't shot an arrow since I was a Boy Scout over a decade ago, so I'm not really sure where to start. What kind of bow and arrows should I get? I'll probably just be doing target practice at first, but would eventually want to hunt deer from a stand.

Archery question?
I am a COMPLETE *NEWBIE* in the sport of Archery. I have a 30-some year old hunting style bow and I have purchased my first set of arrows today.
Someone, please direct me to a website that shows and explains how to begin archery. - I need to find how to hold the bow, how to pull the string and how to position the arrow so it will fly straight.
I already have a release mechanism that pulls the string back and I have already hit the broad side of the barn in my back yard (so no "quips" are needed.)
Thanks.

What Am I Doing Wrong in Archery?
I have been shooting a Parker Buckshot bow set at #50 and a 26" draw length, for over a year. At twenty yards i can group a 3 arrow group in a 6" circle but most people say i should be able to group at 3" or less. I use a whisker busicuit and many people have told me thats whats making me do things wrong. Others say its my follow through. But i think I'm doing something wrong. I am concitering switching to a better bow (Fred Bear Element because i can pull 70# and am now a 27" draw length). The last time i went hunting i took 4 shots before i even hit a deer. Whats wrong???

archery?
how many of yall are actually into archery? i have looked at the hunting ?s and its all about guns! who shoots archery? what kinda bow? i have been shooting for 3 or 4 years and im getting pretty accurate and i have a good set up (gold tip arrows, bowtech diamond edge, cobra sight, and other stuff i don't recall at the moment but they are good i know that haha) but i have problems with being stable in my stance. and i have a sablizer but its mostly there to absorb the shock. i want to try a longer one. do you think that would help? (im 14 and shooting a 35 lb. bow but fixing to get stronger limbs at christmas)
thanx steven r and the carver. both of yalls answers helped. i went and shot my bow today and just the little things made me more accurate. i still haven't gotten a longer stablizer yet but im hoping when i do that i will be that much better! thanks again
